    What is a spin wheel?

A spin wheel is a random picker you can watch. Each entry you add becomes one slice of the wheel. When you spin, the wheel turns, slows down, and stops on one slice. That slice is your result.

It does the same job as drawing a name from a hat or rolling a die, but it works with any list you like. Names, chores, dinner ideas, prizes, questions: if you can write it on a line, you can put it on the wheel. Because everyone can see the wheel spin, the result feels open and easy to accept.

How to use Wheelspinly in 3 steps

You do not need an account or a download. The wheel is ready as soon as the page loads.

    1. Add your entries. Type or paste them into the box, one per line. The wheel redraws as you type.
    2. Spin. Click the wheel or press the Spin button and watch it slow down.
    3. Use the result. Keep the winner, or remove it and spin again to draw the next one. Every spin is saved in the results history.

    How the randomness works

When you press Spin, Wheelspinly asks your browser for a random number with crypto.getRandomValues, the same source browsers use for security tasks. That number picks the winning entry right away, before any animation starts.

The spinning you see is only for show. The wheel is told where to stop, so the speed of your click, the length of the spin, and the screen size have no effect on who wins. Each entry gets an equal share of the outcomes.

Want one option to come up more often? Add it twice. Two lines with the same text means two slices and twice the chance.

    Your entries stay private

Your list is never uploaded. The wheel runs in your browser, and saved wheels are stored in your browser only. If you clear your browser data, they are gone.

When you share a wheel, the list is packed into the link itself. Anyone who opens that link sees the same entries. Keep that in mind before you post a link that holds full names or other personal details.

    Tips for a fair giveaway

A wheel is fair by design, but people trust a draw more when they can see how it was run. A few habits help.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is Wheelspinly free?

Yes. Every wheel and tool on the site is free to use. There is no sign-up, no trial, and no paid version. You open the page, add your entries, and spin as many times as you want.

    Is the wheel really random?

Yes. The winner comes from your browser's crypto.getRandomValues, which is designed to be unpredictable. The result is chosen before the animation begins, so the spin itself cannot be timed or nudged. Each entry has the same chance on every spin.

How many entries can I add?

You can add a long list, but the wheel is easiest to read with a few dozen entries or fewer. With very long lists the text on each slice gets small. The odds stay equal no matter how many entries you add.

Can I give one entry better odds?

There are no weight settings, but you can get the same effect by adding an entry more than once. If one option appears on three lines and another on one line, the first is three times as likely to be picked.

How do I pick several winners without repeats?

Turn on remove-winner. After each spin, the chosen entry drops off the wheel, so the next spin draws only from who is left. The results history keeps the order of every pick, which is handy for first, second, and third place.

Are my entries saved or sent anywhere?

Entries stay in your browser. If you save a wheel, it is stored on this device only. Nothing is uploaded to a server. A share link is the one exception: it carries your list inside the URL so others can open the same wheel.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Wheelspinly works in any modern mobile browser. Tap the wheel or the Spin button to spin. There is no app to install, and the page works the same way on phones, tablets, and computers.

Can I show the wheel on a stream or projector?

Yes. Use full-screen mode so the wheel fills the display, and turn sound on if you want the ticking effect. Many people share the browser tab or window in their streaming or meeting software.
